In 1996 the Swedish synthpop band ESTRANGE released their first album "A Beginning" on the then leading (now inactive) Swedish synthpop-label "October Records", originally recorded under the name "Esrange", which is the name of the Swedish Space Corporation's Kiruna base in the North of Sweden. The debut of Anders Persson & Marcus Lilja got overwhelming reviews and the album did very well with Audioglobe’s export 10 years ago. ESTRANGE also appeared on a couple of highly regarded samplers and tribute albums and everybody into Synthpop predicted a bright future for this project – (E)Strange enough, the band disappeared soon after and nobody has every heard from then since… Now, 10 years later, ESTRANGE are celebrating an unexpected comeback (although the ‘band’ is now reduced to just Marcus Lilja) with their second album "Interim" on the ‘Life is Painful’-Label (Dupont, C.A.P., Sombre View, Restricted Area…). With the new album "Interim", Estrange once again delivers 12 unique synth/pop songs with a personal sound that won´t be misstaken for anything else!
